Pieter Snapper is Pür Cunda’s classical music producer and chief mastering engineer who has worked in the international music industry for over 30 years. He is perhaps best known for the more than 20 albums he has produced and engineered with pianist Fazıl Say. Their latest release “Oiseaux Tristes” (Warner Classics) won the 2025 Opus Klassik instrumental album of the year award. As a mastering engineer his clients have included a who’s who of the Turkish industry, as well as international artists Ibrahim Maalouf, The Rolling Stones, Seal, Paloma Faith, Stewart Copeland, Peter Murphy, Dalis Car, Lamekan Ensemble, Titi Robin, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and more. His productions have also garnered awards such as the 2016 Donizetti Classical Music award for best recording, Best Classical Album of 2015 from Apple iTunes, and the 2010 Record Geijutsu Academy Award (Japan) for recording the Argento Chamber Ensemble’s debut album “Winter Fragments.”
